Riyadh: The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) and the Ministry of Education have invited Saudi students interested in pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees in data science and artificial intelligence at top global universities to apply for the scholarship program through SDAIA’s official website.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative aims to provide educational opportunities for national talents in data and AI, encouraging them to acquire knowledge, skills, and expertise under the guidance of international professors and experts. It is part of building national capacities to meet the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, given that data and AI are among the most in-demand fields in the labor market and play a role in shaping the technological future amid global advancements.
The program offers a range of benefits, including the establishment of an association for scholarship students specializing in data and AI, guidance workshops, and the formation of research groups to enhance scientific output, connect students with researchers, and foster collaboration among scholars. Beneficiaries may also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of technical solutions pursued by SDAIA and its partners.
SDAIA and the Ministry of Education signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to launch the AI scholarship program during the third edition of the Global AI Summit, held in Riyadh last September. The MoU was signed by Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan and SDAIA President Dr. Abdullah Alghamdi.
