SDAIA Digital Pathway Speeds Pilgrims’ Makkah Route Procedures at Rabat-Sal© Airport

Rabat: The Makkah Route Initiative Hall at Rabat-Sal© International Airport in the Kingdom of Morocco is witnessing smooth processing of travel procedures for pilgrims benefiting from the initiative. The initiative is implemented by the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with several government entities, with support from advanced technologies deployed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). These technologies facilitate pilgrims' departure from the airport until they arrive in Saudi Arabia with ease and reassurance.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the SDAIA team processes pilgrims' procedures through an integrated digital pathway that includes data verification, biometric capture, and the electronic issuance of Hajj permits in record time. This enhances operational efficiency and reduces waiting time, supporting a smoother journey to the holy sites.

The team also oversees the development of automated technical systems and the integration of participating entities within a secure and efficient digital environment. This ensures accurate processing of pilgrims' information and streamlines departure procedures through an organized mechanism, reinforcing service integration under the Makkah Route Initiative.
