Scientific Renaissance of Saudi Arabia Highly Praised by Egypt’s Mufti

The Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawki Allam, praised the great scientific renaissance currently being witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the great services it provides in terms of work, achievement and development to serve the people of humanity, extending his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH Crown Prince.

He also commended the scientific edifices of the Kingdom, especially King Abdulaziz Public Library, which supervises this scientific award.

This came in Dr. Allam's speech during the distribution ceremony of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Translation, which was held in Cairo.

The Grand Mufti of Egypt also praised the Kingdom's scientific and knowledge efforts, stressing the Kingdom's interest in science and scientists, and the establishment of universities, colleges, institutes and libraries.

He explained that the Kingdom and its research centers and elegant libraries have contributed a large share in supporting, revitalizing and developing the translation movement, pointing to the role of science and culture in spreading the values of peace.

At the conclusion of his speech, Dr. Shawki Allam expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom and its leadership, stressing that the exchange of science and knowledge among peoples remains the greatest bridge for communication and spreading the values of love and peace instead of conflicts and wars.
