SCFHS Launches Training Program on Health Volunteering Essentials for Hajj

Riyadh: The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), in collaboration with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and the Health Volunteer Center, has launched the ‘Basics of Health Volunteering in Hajj’ program to qualify health volunteers for the Hajj season.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program is part of SCFHS’s training initiatives and covers topics such as the concept of health volunteering, volunteer duties and skills, ethical standards, and the fundamentals of health volunteering. It includes first aid techniques, management of common injuries, and crisis and emergency response. The program offers three credit hours toward continuing professional development (CPD).
