Jeddah: The scientific and technical sessions accompanying the Saudi Water Week 2026 concluded yesterday in Jeddah after four days of high-level discussions that brought together decision-makers, experts, researchers, and representatives from international organizations, government entities, and the private sector. The sessions explored key issues shaping the future of water, water security, and sustainability at the local, regional, and global levels.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the final day focused on innovative solutions for water resource management, strengthening community resilience to environmental and climate challenges, and global best practices in governance, investment, digital transformation, and technology localization.

Discussions also addressed integrated water risk management, the water-food security nexus, and the Kingdom's efforts to localize supply chains and attract investment to strengthen the water sector.

A series of specialized workshops covered water transmission systems, smart data and remote sensing applications, water auditing governance, incident investigation, and strategies to enhance safety and operational efficiency.

The diverse topics discussed during Saudi Water Week reflect the growing global focus on water challenges and reinforce the Kingdom's role in advancing international dialogue, innovation, and partnerships to support water security and the goals of Vision 2030.
