Aqaba: The Saudi U-16 national football team claimed the title of the 2025 West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) U-17 Championship after defeating Lebanon 5-3 on penalties, following a 1-1 draw in regular time. The final match was held yesterday at Aqaba Stadium in Jordan.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi youth team has achieved yet another strong regional performance with this victory. This result highlights the successful progression of the national age-group teams under the development programs established by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.
