Saudi Teams Prepare for 2026 Asian Games

Nagoya: The Saudi Under-21 national football team will begin its participation in the 20th Asian Games tomorrow, facing Qatar at Paloma Mizuho Stadium in the opening round. The Games are being hosted by Nagoya, Japan, through October 4.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi team held a training session this evening under the supervision of Italian coach Luigi Di Biagio and his assistant coaching staff. The session included tactical drills and a practice match on half the pitch before concluding with set-piece training. The Saudi Under-21 team is competing in Group D of the Asian Games football competition.

In karate, the Saudi team will hold an official training session tomorrow at Toyohashi Hall in Toyokawa. In shooting, the Saudi team will hold an unofficial training session tomorrow for the men's skeet competition, featuring Prince Saud bin Al-Hassan, Saeed Al-Mutairi, and Fahad Al-Mutairi. Their teammate Abdulrahman Al-Juhaidli will take part in an unofficial training session for the 50-meter three-position rifle competition.
