Saudi Students Showcase Innovation at Regeneron ISEF 2026 in Arizona

Phoenix: Judges at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair 2026 (ISEF 2026) in Phoenix, Arizona, evaluated projects by participating students on Wednesday.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the competition is being held in Phoenix from May 9 to 15, with more than 70 countries represented by over 1,700 students, including members of the Saudi national science and engineering team. The exhibition halls saw strong attendance from judges, experts, and science enthusiasts as participants took part in specialized evaluation sessions and scientific discussions across the main competition tracks. Around 1,200 judges are participating across 22 scientific categories.

The Saudi delegation is competing with 40 scientific projects selected from winners of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Ibdaa 2026). The highly competitive olympiad involved a multi-stage qualification process that engaged more than 357,000 students, who submitted over 34,000 projects across 22 disciplines. Saudi students, alongside international peers, presented their research and innovative projects to international judging panels, explaining their methodologies, findings, and scientific approaches across a range of scientific and engineering fields.

Their presentations reflected their level of preparation and training, as well as their ability to present and discuss their research with judges, specialists, stakeholders, and media representatives. The Saudi team comprises 42 students, including 23 participating on-site in Phoenix, 17 competing remotely from Riyadh, and two observer students.
