Saudi Students Compete in 2026 International Biology Olympiad in Lithuania

Vilnius: The Saudi biology team is participating in the 2026 International Biology Olympiad, held in Vilnius, Lithuania, from July 12 to 19, with over 300 students representing 78 countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom's team comprises four high school students who underwent intensive training, including theoretical and practical workshops and training camps both within and outside the Kingdom. This training was supervised by a select group of Saudi and international experts and trainers, culminating in the selection of the best candidates to represent Saudi Arabia in this global scientific competition.

The Olympiad is the world's premier competition for high school students in the life sciences. It annually brings together talented students from around the globe to compete in advanced tests that assess scientific knowledge, the ability to solve complex biological problems, and practical laboratory skills.

The Saudi team's participation aims to enhance the Kingdom's presence in international scientific competitions, reflecting the national investment in young minds and supporting the advancement of science and innovation.
