Saudi Sport Arbitration Center Wraps Up Engagement at Abu Dhabi Regional Seminar

Abu dhabi: The Saudi Sport Arbitration Center concluded today its participation in the Regional Sports Arbitration Seminar organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) in Abu Dhabi from October 11 to 12. The seminar was held at the invitation of the OCA and brought together legal and sports experts from across the region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the two-day event featured the participation of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Sport Arbitration Center Dr. Mohammed bin Nasser Bassam, who served as one of the keynote speakers. In his address, Dr. Bassam highlighted the center’s pioneering experience and journey in sports arbitration in Saudi Arabia, detailing its establishment, guiding principles, and mandate.

He also discussed the mechanisms for handling disputes before the center, its approach to engaging with the media, and its most notable achievements. Dr. Bassam further reviewed the center’s strategic transformation, the progress made in recent years, and its future aspirations to strengthen its regional and international presence in the field of sports arbitration.

The center emphasized that its participation in the seminar reflects its commitment to showcasing its pioneering model, exchanging expertise with international counterparts, and enhancing cooperation with legal and sports entities. This engagement is part of the center’s ongoing efforts to achieve its strategic objectives, which aim to consolidate the culture of sports arbitration.
