Saudi Red Sea Authority Hosts Specialized HSE Workshop for Marina Operators

Jeddah: The Saudi Red Sea Authority, in collaboration with the Jeddah Yacht Club and Marina, Takamol Company, and Lloyd's Register, recently hosted a specialized Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) workshop for tourist marina operators.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative aimed to empower licensed facilities to elevate operational standards and foster a culture of risk prevention, moving beyond traditional regulatory compliance. The workshop featured interactive sessions using simulated scenarios, such as fuel spills, boat fires, and visitor injuries, to standardize emergency responses and minimize operational, legal, and financial risks.

By bringing together industry partners and the Jeddah Municipality, the authority continues to enhance the reliability and sustainability of Saudi Arabia's growing coastal tourism sector in line with international best practices.
