Saudi Red Sea Authority Grants Licenses for AMAALA and Shura Marinas

Riyadh:The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) has issued two operating licenses to Red Sea Global (RSG) for the AMAALA Marina and Shura Marina, enhancing the marinas' capacity to welcome yachts and integrate marine services along Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the licenses were handed over by Eng. Mohammed Bukhari, Vice President of Coastal Tourism Operations at SRSA, to Raed Albasseet, Chief Operations and Sustainability Officer at RSG, in Riyadh. The issuance follows the Regulation for the Design and Operation of Tourist Marinas, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards that benefit yacht owners and visitors.

RSG has recently launched the Yachting Network, unifying the management of its marinas and yacht clubs along the Red Sea. This initiative aims to provide a seamless experience for yacht owners, captains, and crews, facilitating easier access to berthing and marine services across various destinations.

AMAALA Marina, part of the AMAALA Yacht Club, offers 119 berths, while Shura Marina, the largest tourist marina on an island in Saudi Arabia, provides 159 berths. Combined, these marinas can accommodate yachts up to 120 meters in length, with a total capacity of 278 berths. The AMAALA Yacht Club, featuring a 7,900 square meter clubhouse, enhances the destination with yachting, hospitality, and marine services.

This development highlights SRSA's role in regulating coastal tourism and RSG's efforts in developing tourism infrastructure and services, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030's objectives to strengthen the Red Sea as a global tourism destination.
