Saudi NIH Announces Health Research Support Opportunities

Riyadh: The Saudi National Institute of Health (Saudi NIH) has announced new research support opportunities aimed at addressing health research priorities in translational research and clinical trials within the Kingdom. This strategic initiative aims to enhance the efficiency and quality of health research, address public health needs, and amplify the impact of research and innovation in the health sector.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this initiative aligns with the Saudi NIH’s commitment to advancing the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program and Saudi Vision 2030. For 2025, grants have been allocated based on the institute’s strategic plan and program strategies, with a focus on three key areas: cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), endocrine and metabolic disorders, and cancer.

This initiative emphasizes the development of grant mechanisms to ensure that supported research outcomes are translated into tangible health and economic benefits. This approach aims to enhance the impact of health research, improve community health, and support economic development through innovation.

These opportunities are available to researchers within institutions and research organizations across the Kingdom, including hospitals, research centers, and universities. The institute is dedicated to fostering a premier research environment by providing financial and technical support, offering specialized training programs for researchers, and enhancing collaborations with health and regulatory authorities to improve the health of individuals and society in the Kingdom.
