Riyadh: In response to the growing importance of environmental awareness, the Saudi Museums Commission hosted an insightful open talk titled ‘Museums, the Environment, and Sustainable Development.’ This engaging Webex event brought together experts, community members, and museum professionals to explore how museums can effectively contribute to environmental awareness.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussion was moderated by Museums Commission Consultant Dr. Heba Barakat and featured valuable insights from Black Gold Museum Director Jack Persekian, a soon-to-open museum established by the Museums Commission, and Aeon Collective Senior Associate Wakim Zeidan.

The discussion highlighted the design of sustainable museums, emphasizing the integration of eco-friendly building materials and effective resource management strategies to enhance sustainability and create inviting spaces for visitors.
