Saudi, Mongolian Olympic Committees Discuss Boosting Cooperation

Ulaanbaatar: Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC) vice president Prince Fahad bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed met with Mongolian National Olympic Committee president and International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Battushig Batbold in the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar. The meeting focused on exploring ways to enhance sports cooperation between the two committees, exchange technical expertise, and coordinate efforts to promote sports across Asia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions took place at the headquarters of the Mongolian committee, where both leaders emphasized the importance of collaboration in sports development. The SOPC vice president also attended camel racing events in Mongolia as part of the desert games, showcasing the commitment of the World Camelids Sports (WCS), which is headquartered in Saudi Arabia, to promote the sport on a global scale.

During his visit, Prince Fahad assessed the readiness of Mongolian camel racers for upcoming competitions, with particular attention to the inclusion of camel racing in the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Manama this October and the 22nd Asian Games in 2034 in Riyadh. He recognized the potential of Mongolian athletes to further develop the sport, highlighting their strong capabilities and dedication.
