Saudi Mango Festival Launched in Jeddah

Jeddah: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture's branch in Makkah Region has launched the Saudi Mango Festival in Jeddah, featuring the participation of several agricultural associations. The event is part of ongoing efforts to support local products and enhance marketing activities within the agricultural sector.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the festival is an extension of the branch's initiatives to support Saudi farmers and strengthen the presence of national agricultural products in the markets. Agricultural marketing remains a key challenge for the sector, necessitating integrated efforts. This includes improving agricultural inputs, selecting commercially viable varieties, and increasing targeted production levels during harvest seasons.

The festival aims to showcase the diversity and quality of local mango varieties and introduce successfully cultivated tropical fruits within the Kingdom. It also provides direct marketing outlets, showcases distinguished agricultural experiences, and enhances the tourism appeal of the region.
