Saudi Irrigation Organization Highlights Role of Data and Innovation in Advancing Water Sustainability

Riyadh: The Saudi Irrigation Organization participated in the Water Partnerships Forum 2025, held as part of the Kingdom’s preparations to host the 11th World Water Forum in Riyadh in 2027.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the organization’s participation featured a high-level panel discussion in which Chief Data Officer Dr. Mohammad Alomair underscored the Kingdom’s pioneering role in supporting global water sustainability efforts. He discussed transforming the forum from a traditional organizational event into a global platform for developing innovative and practical solutions in water management.

Dr. Alomair highlighted the organization’s efforts to strengthen its data systems to support the Kingdom’s participation in regional and international water forums, stressing the importance of proactive preparation for the World Water Forum through reliable data that enhances decision-making and informs future solutions.

He also reviewed key lessons learned from previous forum editions and emphasized the need to integrate innovation, data, and community engagement to advance progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
