Saudi Energy Announces Success of Operational Plan for Hajj 1447 AH, Records Historic Loads in Holy Sites

Riyadh: Under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy and the follow-up of the Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority, the Saudi Energy announced the success of its operational plan for the Hajj 1447 AH season, recording historic electrical loads in the holy sites and achieving high levels of reliability and operational efficiency.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the public electricity grid, thanks to Allah, recorded no outages throughout the Hajj season. Loads reached 375 megawatts in Mina and 464 megawatts in Arafat, reflecting the efficiency and high readiness of the electricity system in handling peak loads during the Hajj season.

This success comes as an extension of the early preparations carried out by the Saudi Energy ahead of the Hajj season, including the development of a smart and fully automated electricity system in the holy sites, supported by artificial intelligence technologies and proactive fault analysis.

These efforts enhanced the efficiency of electrical load management and enabled proactive handling of operational indicators during the peak season.
