Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority Boosts Oversight During Hajj Season

Makkah: The Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority: emphasized its ongoing dedication to ensuring reliable and safe electricity services during this year's Hajj season, in alignment with the leadership's directives and under the Ministry of Energy's supervision and follow-up.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the efforts aim to enhance the comfort and safety of pilgrims, demonstrating the Kingdom's commitment to providing a comprehensive and seamless spiritual journey. The authority has been conducting inspection and oversight tours of electricity stations and facilities at the holy sites. These tours are designed to verify the reliability and efficiency of the facilities and ensure the execution of maintenance programs for electrical-grid components.

The authority emphasized that these efforts are crucial in guaranteeing the safety and continuity of electricity services for pilgrims during Hajj. Field teams are actively monitoring the performance of the electrical grid throughout the Hajj season by inspecting electricity service locations in the holy sites. These teams are also tasked with monitoring the electricity service provider's performance regarding service quality. They address reports through an electronic model, allowing inspection teams to record observations and cases directly from the field.
