Saudi Delegation Participates in International Meeting on Child Protection in Digital Environment

Ankara: A Saudi delegation, represented by the Family Affairs Council and the National Cybersecurity Authority, participated in the high-level round table on International Policy and Practice Exchange on Child Protection in the Digital Environment, held on April 21-22 in Ankara, Republic of Trkiye. This participation was at the invitation of the Turkish Ministry of Family and Social Services and in cooperation with UNICEF and the Office of the UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence Against Children.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom presented its efforts to enhance the child protection system. This includes the Family Affairs Council's launch of the national framework for child protection in the digital space aimed at coordinating national efforts among relevant entities. Additionally, the Kingdom supports the activation of national legislation such as the Child Protection Law, and the integration of awareness programs, contributing to building a comprehensive system to empower children and their families to use digital technologies safely.

This participation is part of the Kingdom's ongoing approach to support international efforts and enhance coordination among relevant entities. By doing so, the Kingdom contributes to providing a safe digital environment for children.
