Saudi Deaf Team to Participate in 25th Deaflympics in Tokyo

Riyadh: The Saudi Deaf Sports Federation will take part in the 25th Deaflympics, to be held in Tokyo from November 15 to 26, with the participation of over 70 countries from around the world. Saudi Arabia will be represented by the men’s athletics and men’s bowling teams, both of which have intensified their training as part of their preparation programs ahead of the competition.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi delegation is scheduled to depart for Tokyo on November 12 to participate in this global event, one of the most prominent international competitions for deaf athletes. President of the Saudi Deaf Sports Federation Khalid Alfarsi emphasized that the participation in Tokyo reflects the unlimited support provided by the Kingdom’s leadership, and the attention of the Ministry of Sport and the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee to empower athletes with disabilities.

He noted that the federation aims for a distinguished participation that honors the Kingdom and highlights the progress of deaf sports in Saudi Arabia.
