Riyadh: Saudi Aramco Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Ziad Al-Murshed highlighted the transformative impact of digital innovation at the Money 20/20 Middle East conference in Riyadh, stressing the need for companies to adapt to the digital age.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Murshed remarked, “The energy sector is accelerating due to the digital revolution, driven by breakthroughs in artificial intelligence. This change will significantly increase demand while enhancing supply capabilities.”
He noted that Aramco is at the forefront of this transformation, leveraging data and digital infrastructure to generate $4 billion in value in 2024, with over half of that coming from digital and AI solutions.
To capitalize on digital transformation, Al-Murshed urged a rethink of business management and operational models. He emphasized that while the pace of change may seem overwhelming, those who adapt will reap substantial rewards.
