Riyadh: President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) Yasser Al-Misehal expressed pride in the Saudi national football team’s participation in the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup, co-hosted by the United States and Canada from June 14 to July 6. He emphasized that this participation marks a significant step in the team’s development journey and enhances its presence on the international stage.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Misehal said the Saudi team’s participation marks a historic milestone. It aligns with the Saudi Football Strategy and supports objectives to increase participation in international tournaments, offer players high-level international experience, and raise the level of technical exposure.
He added, ‘With the determination of the players and the confidence in the coaching staff, we are capable of presenting an honorable image that reflects the status of Saudi football. We are counting on this participation to enhance the team’s readiness for upcoming challenges, especially the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches.’
