Saudi Arabia to Host Inaugural Water Week in Jeddah

Jeddah: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture will launch the first Saudi Water Week from June 28 to July 2, 2026, in Jeddah, as an extension of previous editions of the Saudi Water Forum. The event serves as a specialized national and international platform that brings together decision-makers, experts, researchers, and private-sector representatives from within the Kingdom and abroad to enhance water security and support sustainable water resource management.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the week includes the Arab Water Forum, the 2nd Stakeholder Consultation Meeting for the 11th World Water Forum 2027, more than 97 dialogue sessions, specialized workshops, and detailed presentations on Saudi water sector achievements.

The event reflects the Kingdom's leading role in developing the water ecosystem locally, regionally, and internationally, aiming to exchange expertise, address common challenges, and explore practical solutions and modern technologies, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 targets.

The World Water Forum 2027, scheduled to be held in Riyadh, is the world's largest event on water issues, and the second consultative meeting during Saudi Water Week represents a key preparatory milestone for this global event.
