Abu Dhabi: Deputy Minister of Finance for International Relations Khaled Bawazier led the Saudi delegation to the 10th annual meeting of Arab Finance Ministries’ Deputies, held here by the Arab Monetary Fund from January 20 to 21.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting featured participation from deputies of Arab finance ministries and experts from the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). It aimed to facilitate the exchange of expertise among Arab countries in the financial and economic sectors. The discussions focused on key economic developments across the Arab world, challenges and lessons learned from successful reforms, and ways to strengthen efforts toward digital transformation in public finance within the Arab region.
Bawazier underscored the Kingdom’s progress in several areas, including its experience in digital transformation within public finance, and emphasized the Kingdom’s efforts to strengthen energy security locally, regionally, and internationally.
