Saudi Arabia Railways Solidifies Safety Commitment at IRSC 2025

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) strengthened its international standing in operational safety by participating in the International Railway Safety Council (IRSC 2025) conference, held in Hong Kong from November 25 to 30, 2025, alongside global rail transport leaders and experts.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the conference, SAR presented a working paper on compliance and embedding safety as a corporate culture through governance, intelligence, and predictive assurance. The paper detailed SAR’s experience in redefining safety from a regulatory commitment to a corporate culture embedded in daily decision-making, which enhances performance and sustainability.

This participation follows SAR’s successful presentation of the same paper at the RISSB Rail Safety Conference 2025 in Sydney, Australia, last May. The paper highlighted the company’s efforts to integrate safety into strategic plans, promote employee empowerment, and utilize data-driven improvement and international best practices.

SAR affirmed its participation in IRSC 2025 is a key platform to showcase its global leadership and achievements to international organizations and railway decision-makers. This commitment supports the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030’s goal for safer, more efficient, and sustainable transport, reinforcing the Kingdom as a leading global logistics hub.
