Saudi Arabia Railways Joins Prestigious Rail Safety and Standards Board

Riyadh: The Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) has joined the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB), enhancing the Kingdom’s leadership in rail safety and the efficiency of its national transport system.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this membership extends SAR’s efforts to adopt best international practices in governance, operational safety, and intelligence. It enables SAR to access advanced research and technical programs from the board, including risk management, predictive analysis, and operational intelligence models that enhance performance quality and operational efficiency.

The RSSB is a leading international body focused on rail safety and standards, uniting transport regulators, operators, experts, and researchers to advance global initiatives in risk management and network reliability. SAR’s membership signifies an international accreditation of its commitment to quality and leadership in the rail transport sector.

Through its new membership, SAR aims to strengthen the Kingdom’s position in international rail transport and develop a safer, more innovative, and efficient transport network, supporting a comprehensive logistical system for the future.
