Riyadh: Saudi Arabia welcomes the US President’s announcement of a ceasefire agreement between the two sides of the escalating conflict in the region. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its approval of the announcement by US President Donald Trump regarding a ceasefire agreement, acknowledging the efforts made to de-escalate the situation.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Kingdom anticipates that all parties will demonstrate a commitment to reducing tensions and avoiding the use or threat of force. It is hoped that this agreement will help restore security and stability in the region, and prevent further escalation. The Kingdom emphasized its consistent support for dialogue and diplomatic methods as means to resolve regional disputes and conflicts, stressing the importance of respecting state sovereignty and promoting security, stability, prosperity, and progress both regionally and globally.
