Tirana: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance conducted the final rounds of the national Quran memorization and recitation competition for boys and girls in the Republic of Albania.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the competition was organized by the ministry, represented by the Religious Attach© at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Muslim Community of Albania. The final rounds took place at Bed«r University in Tirana from January 26 to 27, as part of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to support the memorization of the Holy Quran.

A total of 120 male and female contestants participated in the final rounds, competing across three categories: memorization of two parts, five parts, and ten parts of the Holy Quran. A specialized judging panel was responsible for evaluating the performances, ensuring adherence to standards of proficiency and accuracy.

The closing ceremony and prize distribution for the winners are scheduled to occur on Wednesday, with attendance from Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Albania Faisal bin Ghazi Hifzi and Grand Mufti and Chairman of the Muslim Community of Albania Bujar Spahiu, along with several official and religious figures.

This competition is part of the ministry's programs aimed at strengthening the Kingdom's Quranic presence internationally and encouraging young people to memorize, learn, and reflect upon the Holy Quran. These initiatives highlight Saudi Arabia's role in serving Islam and Muslims worldwide.
