Saudi Arabia and Mauritania Strengthen Civil Defense Cooperation

Riyadh: Director General of Civil Defense Major General Dr. Hamoud Al-Faraj received Mauritania's General Delegate for Civil Security and Crisis Management Major General Abou El Maaly El Hady Sidi Ould Amar on Monday.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting took place at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Riyadh. The discussions focused on the ties between Saudi Arabia and Mauritania in the field of civil defense, as well as several topics of mutual interest.

Both sides explored ways to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise in areas such as public safety, prevention, risk management, and emergency and crisis response. The discussions highlighted the importance of unifying efforts and developing joint work mechanisms to improve readiness and operational efficiency.

The meeting emphasized strengthening institutional cooperation, aligning with the shared interests and aspirations of the leadership of the two countries. Both nations aim to bolster their partnership in civil defense to better address common challenges.
