Cairo: Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the Board of the Transport General Authority (TGA) Saleh Al-Jasser and Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport of the Arab Republic of Egypt Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on transport cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the regular session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Transport, which convened on Monday in Cairo under the chairmanship of Kuwait, with participation from various Arab transport ministers.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU aims to bolster cooperation in road transport and facilitate the exchange of expertise, experiences, and scientific and technical information. It also seeks to encourage joint studies and research efforts between the Saudi Roads General Authority (RGA) and Egypt’s National Institute of Transport. This initiative is expected to enhance the transport infrastructure and connectivity between the two nations, contributing to economic development and regional integration.
