Saudi arabia: Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz and Bahraini Minister of Interior Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa conducted an inspection visit to the King Fahd Causeway, a vital link between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The visit focused on evaluating ongoing and future projects aimed at improving the travel experience across the causeway.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministers were informed about various projects undertaken by the King Fahd Causeway Authority. These projects include expanding the procedure zones and enhancing capacity to facilitate smoother transit for travelers between the two nations. These initiatives are part of the broader directives issued by the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council to streamline cross-border movement.

Additionally, the ministers were briefed about the newly established passenger lounges designed for public transportation users and the implementation of prepaid toll routes. These developments hav
e significantly reduced the average waiting time at toll gates to under 15 seconds, thereby improving efficiency and traveler satisfaction.
