Sanaa: Yemeni Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik met yesterday with the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen and Supervisor General of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) Mohammed Al Jaber. The Yemeni prime minister expressed his gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s continued support, particularly the recent announcement of SAR1.38 billion in additional aid, which will help fund the Yemeni government’s budget and provide petroleum products to boost the country’s financial and economic stability.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Prime Minister bin Braik stated that the support reflects the strong historical relationship between the two nations and reinforces the Kingdom’s commitment to helping the Yemeni government achieve economic stability and ease the humanitarian crisis. He emphasized that the aid is a significant boost to the government’s efforts to stabilize the local currency, control inflation, and implement economic reforms.

The discussion also covered the SDRPY’s vital development projects and humanitarian efforts across several Yemeni governorates. Al Jaber reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Yemeni government’s comprehensive reforms to ensure peace, stability, and development in Yemen.
