Riyadh: The Saudi Alzheimer’s Disease Association has announced its official membership in Alzheimer’s Disease International, marking a pivotal step in enhancing the Kingdom’s role in specialized healthcare and supporting its global outreach and nonprofit empowerment efforts, aligned with the Saudi Vision 2030.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Alzheimer’s Disease International, founded in 1984, connects associations and institutions aiding Alzheimer’s patients from over 100 countries. The organization is dedicated to raising awareness, developing health policies, and supporting scientific research aimed at improving dementia care globally.

The Saudi association’s membership signifies a major national achievement, highlighting the dedication to improving the quality of life for Alzheimer’s patients and their families. It also emphasizes the importance of sharing expertise and the latest global practices in diagnosis, treatment, and care.

With this membership, the association plans to build an integrated healthcare system that caters to the needs of patients and caregivers. This involves boosting scientific research, developing national awareness programs, and contributing to national health policies and plans, aligning with the highest global standards.
