Riyadh: Under the patronage of Minister of Commerce and Chairman of SASO's Board of Directors Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) will organize the World Metrology Day 2026 Forum next Wednesday. The event aims to bring attention to the significance of metrology and its role in policy making.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the forum coincides with the global celebration of World Metrology Day under this year's theme, "Metrology: Building Trust in Policy Making." This theme has been designated by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) and the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML).
The forum aims to promote metrology and calibration culture within the Kingdom. It will introduce the "Taqyees" legal calibration program, highlight its achievements, and showcase the efforts of the National Center for Measurement and Calibration along with partner entities. These efforts are focused on developing the metrology ecosystem in the Kingdom.
