Riyadh: Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), the national defense and security company and a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, welcomed King of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar and his accompanying delegation, accompanied by Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb, during his visit to SAMI Alsalam Aerospace Industries, a subsidiary of SAMI, as part of his official visit to the Kingdom. King of Malaysia and his accompanying delegation were received upon arrival by Chief Executive Officer of SAMI Eng. Thamer Al-Muhid, along with senior company officials.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during the visit, the King toured the company’s facilities and was briefed on its capabilities in aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), as well as its role in localizing the aerospace industries in line with Saudi Vision 2030. The briefing highlighted SAMI’s efforts in strengthening the Kingdom’s defense industry ecosystem and supporting its position within the global aerospace sector.
The visit reflects the shared commitment of both sides to expanding cooperation in the aerospace industry.
