Riyadh: The Sakhaa Program has entered into a memorandum of understanding to establish a used clothing recycling plant in the Riyadh Region, aiming to tackle the escalating issue of textile waste while promoting recycling awareness.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the memorandum of understanding outlines a project committed to creating a recycling plant that addresses the challenges posed by textile waste. The initiative seeks to promote public awareness about the benefits of recycling, highlighting its role in environmental sustainability.

The project also aims to generate employment opportunities that contribute to economic growth. In addition, it seeks to empower different segments of society by providing clothing at nominal costs or free, thus supporting social welfare.
