Sakaka: Undersecretary of Al-Jouf Region Principality Hussein Al Sultan inaugurated the second dates festival in Sakaka yesterday, organized by the Al-Jouf branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
According to Saudi Press Agency, more than 30 farmers are participating in the five-day festival, showcasing some of the finest dates from Al-Jouf Region. Additionally, 18 families working in the cottage industry, representing the palm and date-related processing industries, are participating.
The festival offers direct technical and advisory services to farmers and producers through three specialized laboratories affiliated with the ministry’s branch, providing agricultural testing and consultations. It aims to support farmers and producers, enhance the quality of palm trees and date products from Al-Jouf, and open new marketing channels to strengthen the region’s agricultural presence.
