SAFF Postpones King’s Cup Semi-Finals to March 18

Riyadh: The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) decided to postpone the two semifinal matches of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup (King's Cup) to Wednesday, March 18. The semifinals will see Al Kholood face Al-Ittihad, while Al-Ahli take on Al Hilal.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the decision to reschedule the matches was made by the federation's competitions authority. Both matches will be played simultaneously at 10 PM on March 18, corresponding to Ramadan 29 under the Umm Al-Qura Calendar.

The decision followed consultations with the clubs that qualified for the semifinal stage regarding the previously scheduled dates of March 16 and 17. The competitions department presented the season calendar to the clubs, outlining available dates in coordination with the Saudi Pro League and relevant stakeholders.

The move reflects SAFF's commitment to aligning organizational arrangements with all concerned parties and ensuring the best possible conditions for staging the semifinals. The efforts aim to promote competitive fairness and maintain coordination to meet the clubs' requirements and various competitive commitments.

The current sports season is set to conclude on May 21, ahead of the Saudi national team's preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
