The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it launched 12 intensive strikes using missiles and drones on Ukrainian army sites during the past week, noting that more than 4,000 Ukrainians were killed and wounded.
The Ministry stated in a statement issued today, Saturday, that during the period from September 17 to 23, Russian forces carried out 12 intensive strikes with long-range, high-precision weapons from land, air, and drones, against aircraft and armored repair facilities, oil refining, and ammunition and precision weapons storage sites, foreign-made weapons, intelligence centers and training of Ukrainians.”
The report explained that the strikes led to serious damage to the logistical support system of the Ukrainian forces operating on the Kherson and Zaporozhye axes, and a decrease in the capabilities of the repair and restoration institutions of the Ukrainian forces, pointing to the destruction of part of the stocks of winged missiles, depleted uranium shells, rocket launchers and anti-aircraft missile systems, which they received from a western country.
The Russian Ministry of Defense added that, during the past week, its forces repelled more than 50 attacks by Ukrainian units on the main combat axes, including 28 on the Donetsk axis alone, noting that the losses of the Ukrainian forces amounted to more than 4,015 soldiers killed and wounded, including about 1,455 on the Donetsk axis, and more than 950 on the South Donetsk axis, 515 on the Zaporozhye axis, 215 on the Kubyansk axis, about 435 on the Krasny Liman axis and 445 on the Kherson axis.”
