Roads Authority Exceeds 2030 Target with 95.5% Compliance in Road Construction Projects

Riyadh: The Roads General Authority (RGA) achieved a 95.5% compliance rate in the implementation of road construction projects outside urban areas, exceeding the 2025 target of 90% and the 2030 target of 92%. The achievement reflects progress in project implementation and improved performance efficiency in the roads sector.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the RGA noted that the rate surpassed both the 2025 and 2030 targets, reflecting its efforts to monitor road construction projects and raise compliance levels. These efforts contribute to improved output quality and greater project implementation efficiency.

The achievement builds on the authority's efforts to oversee road network projects outside urban areas and monitor their implementation in accordance with approved standards and specifications. This supports improvements in road network quality, enhances the experience of road users, and increases the efficiency of road project management.

The authority continues to implement vital projects and initiatives to advance the roads sector and achieve the objectives of the road sector program. These include reducing the road fatality rate to fewer than five deaths per 100,000 people and improving quality and safety levels across the road network.
