Riyadh: Mayor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf received Syrian Minister of Local Administration and Environment Mohammad Anjarani and his delegation on Tuesday. Discussions at the mayor's office highlighted Riyadh Municipality's experience and scope of work. They also reviewed key aspects of its ongoing municipal transformation, which contributes to enhanced operational efficiency and service quality.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting addressed the municipality's efforts in digital transformation and the adoption of smart city solutions, which boost performance efficiency and align with urban development objectives.

The two sides also reviewed the role of the Arab Urban Development Institute as a specialized platform for capacity building and knowledge exchange in urban development. They highlighted its contributions to supporting municipal work at the regional and global levels.

The minister praised the development and transformation taking place in Riyadh across various sectors. He expressed Syria's interest in benefiting from the city's experience, particularly in municipal and development-related fields.
