Riyadh: The Riyadh Region Municipality has provided services to more than 29,000 pilgrims through six dedicated centers across the region’s governorates, as part of its ongoing efforts to support the pilgrims and ensure a safe, smooth Hajj experience. The services were offered up to the 8th of Dhu al-Hijjah, 1446 AH.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the participating centers, located in Al-Kharj, Qiddiyah, Al-Quwayiyah, Ramah, Afif, and Wadi Al-Dawasir, collectively covered an area of approximately 96,362 square meters. These centers received pilgrims arriving on 558 buses, with an additional 30 shuttle trips operated to facilitate their movement.

A total of 82 entities from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors collaborated in delivering services. Their collective efforts were supported by 2,029 volunteers who helped distribute over 18,000 meals, 84,450 bottles of water, 6,329 kilograms of dates, and 52,043 gifts to pilgrims.

The municipality also provided medical examination services to 10,753 pilgrims at these centers, ensuring health and safety throughout their journey.

These initiatives reflect the Riyadh Municipality’s commitment to its social and humanitarian responsibilities, providing an effective organizational and operational environment that supports the well-being of pilgrims. The efforts are in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at building a prosperous and sustainable city that enhances the quality of life.
