Riyadh: Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Riyadh Economic Forum Abdulaziz Al-Anqari stated that the patronage of the forum's 12th edition by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud reflects the leadership's continued support for initiatives that contribute to the national economy and strengthen the role of the private sector. The forum is scheduled to take place from October 12 to 14, 2026.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Anqari highlighted that the 12th edition will feature five strategic studies designed to support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. He emphasized the forum's role as a partnership model among the public and private sectors and academia. Experts and specialists will participate in preparing and discussing the studies, which are aimed at enhancing the quality and impact of their outcomes.

Throughout its previous editions, the forum has produced specialized studies addressing developmental, economic, and social issues. These studies have contributed to national dialogue and supported decision-making.

The forum will discuss five studies addressing key economic and developmental issues. They will examine the challenges of traffic congestion in major cities, including its economic and social causes and impacts, and strategies for transferring and localizing knowledge and expertise among national cadres.

The studies will also address the use of smart farming technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) to develop the agricultural sector and enhance food and water security. Other topics include the impact of legislation and public policies on sustainable development and the efficiency of the regulatory and judicial environment. The forum will also examine ways to maximize the economic and social returns from hosting major global events, such as Expo 2030 Riyadh and the FIFA World Cup 2034.
