Riyadh: Riyadh Air celebrated the graduation of its first group of Saudi female aircraft maintenance engineers at the company's headquarters, in the presence of the graduates' families and several senior executives, marking a milestone that reflects the airline's commitment to developing and empowering national talent in one of the aviation industry's most critical fields.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ceremony honored 26 engineers who successfully completed the diploma course under the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Program, launched by Riyadh Air in cooperation with Colleges of Excellence and the International Aviation Technical College at Riyadh. The program, the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia, aims to develop local talent and prepare Saudi women to work in the field in accordance with the highest international standards. It also contributes to building an advanced national aircraft maintenance ecosystem and enhancing the global competitiveness of Saudi Arabia's aviation sector.

The program is part of a series of Riyadh Air initiatives aimed at developing and attracting national talent. These include the "Nawat" graduate development program, as well as previous scholarship programs in co-piloting and aircraft maintenance, all of which contribute to the growth of the Kingdom's aviation sector.
