Rising Temperatures and Stormy Weather Expected in Eastern and Southern Regions

Riyadh: Weather conditions are set to become more severe across parts of the Eastern Region as temperatures continue to rise. Thunderstorms, accompanied by hail and gusty winds, are anticipated in the Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha regions, as well as the southern highlands of the Makkah Region. Additionally, gusty winds are expected to stir dust over parts of the Makkah and Madinah regions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Red Sea will experience northwesterly to westerly winds at speeds of 18-45 km/h in its northern and central sectors, while the southern part will see winds shifting from northerly to northwesterly at 10-50 km/h. Wave heights will vary from half a meter to over two meters, resulting in a calm to choppy sea state.

Meanwhile, in the Arabian Gulf, winds are projected to be northwesterly to westerly at 15-32 km/h in the northern and central areas, and westerly to southwesterly at 10-25 km/h in the southern part. Wave heights will range from half a meter to one and a half meters, maintaining a relatively calm sea state.
