Mecca: The General Presidency for Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque granted senior mutawwifs at the Grand Mosque the first official license to guide the Taefeen (circumambulators) in performing tawaf through the national ‘Tawakkalna’ application.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this initiative is part of the technological and qualitative development being undertaken by the general presidency this season, under the support of the wise leadership. The effort is being directly guided by the President of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais.
Assistant President for Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque, Badr bin Saleh Al-Sheikh, mentioned that the presidency’s activation of this initiative reflects the impact of its efforts, tangible outcomes, and strategic objectives outlined in its seasonal and long-term plans to facilitate the performance of rituals. He further noted that this step underscores the Kingdom’s role in serving Islam, Muslims, and all visitors, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
