Riyadh: In a new global recognition for the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), fDi Intelligence, a publication of the Financial Times, has named Ras Al Khair City for Mining Industries among the winners of the Global Free Zones of the Year Awards 2025 in the Rising Stars category. The accolade recognizes the city’s outstanding performance and rapid development as one of the world’s most promising economic destinations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this achievement highlights Saudi Arabia’s ongoing industrial and economic transformation in line with Saudi Vision 2030. The Kingdom supports these efforts by attracting foreign investment, boosting GDP, growing national exports, creating job opportunities, and fostering strategic investments in the maritime industries sector.
President of the RCJY Khalid Al-Salem said the honor reflects the unwavering support of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in providing all necessary components that have enabled the commission to promote and develop industrial cities and special economic zones.
The 2025 edition of the awards featured participation from more than 80 economic zones worldwide, underscoring the distinguished position of Ras Al Khair City for Mining Industries as a promising investment hub and a global model for advanced industry and sustainable development in Saudi Arabia.
