Arar: The diverse ecosystems of the Northern Borders region have revealed another fascinating species: Savigny’s agama (Trapelus savignii), recently observed in Arar, testament to the region’s rich, unique biodiversity.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this medium-sized lizard, with its flattened body, wide head, and spiny scales providing protection from predators and harsh conditions, is well adapted to the desert environment. Males are particularly striking, displaying a vibrant blue coloration during the mating season to attract females.
