Doha: The State of Qatar strongly condemned the Houthi militia's targeting of civilian and economic assets in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran, which resulted in injuries to numerous civilians, including women and children. The attacks also extended to commercial vessels in the Red Sea.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs labeled the attacks as a violation of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and international law, characterizing them as an escalation that threatens regional stability. Qatar's statement called for an immediate cessation of these hostilities and reiterated its opposition to the targeting of civilian and critical infrastructure.

The ministry urged the international community to take a firm stance against these violations and to ensure the enforcement of pertinent UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216 concerning Yemen and Resolution 2722 related to Red Sea navigation security.

Qatar expressed its complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia, affirming its support for all legitimate measures undertaken by Saudi Arabia to maintain its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. It highlighted that the security of Saudi Arabia is intrinsically linked to the collective security of Qatar and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
